AfriSAFE Innovation in Occupational Safety, Health and Wellbeing Award
This award is given to an organisation which has identified a specific occupational safety risk; managed a specific work-related health risk and developed an initiative to address it. Or generally have broader initiatives to improve the health, safety and wellbeing of workers. The judges appreciate improvements in productivity or wider business effectiveness.
AfriSAFE Governance Award
Boards play a vital role in health and safety leadership and governance. This award recognises the organization whose board of directors or equivalent has best demonstrated leadership and engagement on health and safety. This category recognises overall engagement and leadership in health and safety, not necessarily one specific initiative.
AfriSAFE Innovation in Public Health Award
This award is given to an organisation with any innovation to improve public health & safety or has developed new solutions to old problems in regards to public safety & health.

AfriSAFE Outstanding Bravery Award
Recognizes individuals or teams who have demonstrated an outstanding act of bravery, which without their intervention could have led to significant harm to others, damage to property or even loss of life.
AfriSAFE Campaign of the year Award
This category is designed to recognise the implementation of a campaign that has led to significant improvements to any of health, safety, fire safety or security to persons or premises.
AfriSAFE Manager of the year Award
This category is designed to recognise a health and safety manager who made a significant contribution to the implementation or enhancement of health, safety or wellbeing standards within either their own or a client organisation. The individual must also have a role wherein at least 50% of all tasks undertaken are focused directly at the host organisation’s core health, safety and wellbeing functions. They must also have made a significant contribution to the introduction and promotion of standards within the health, safety. This award is in gold, silver and bronze.
AfriSAFE CSR Award
This award is given to the organisation whose corporate social responsibility had the greatest impact in promoting health safety and wellbeing
AfriSAFE Team of the Year Award
This category is designed to recognise health and safety teams that are making a significant difference in their workplace. Recognizes the outstanding achievements resulting in a significant improvement to health, safety or wellbeing, from a collaboration of stakeholders which may include members of their organization, suppliers, contractors and/or the wider community.
AfriSAFE Legend Award
Recognizes 4 African leaders or public figure who had distinguished themselves and committed to the protection of people, property, resources, and the workplace/environment. It could be a business man, Head of Government Ministry, Agency or Parastatal or a celebrity who has made remarkable difference through unique initiatives in promoting health, safety and wellbeing.
AfriSAFE Professional of the year Award
This award is open to people with formal responsibility for health and safety, and goes to the person whose enthusiasm, knowledge and drive over the last 12 months has made a substantial contribution to workplace health safety, wellbeing in their organisation.
AfriSAFE Business Leaders’ of the year Award
This award recognises a member of a senior executive team or director who is not a health and safety professional but whose leadership has helped transform their organisation’s health and safety culture.
AfriSAFE Lifetime Achievement Award
This special award gives the organizers the opportunity to recognise 4 individual who has devoted a significant portion of their working life to advancing the cause of health and safety in Africa, and whose specific achievements have clearly benefited many people, regionally or nationally.
AfriSAFE Shinning Star of the year Award
This category is designed to recognise individuals (under 40) who are dedicated to continuous improvement in safety or raised awareness through various health and safety initiatives thereby impacting their world of contact. The winner in this category gets a unique training scholarship for a course in health and safety or leadership development in a recognized training institute and free media publicity partnership with HSENations in promoting their initiatives all through the award year.
